Uk, Italy and France are all seeing significant reductions in COVID cases. Fatalities in UK & France are falling significant. In Italy – fatalities are extremely high. The US hasn’t experienced the worst of fatalities yet, new COVID cases are still rising.




The US cases per capita are at the same level that Italy recently peaked (around Nov 14th). The most recent fatality data in the US is sharply rising upwards.
The action taken by California to essentially shut down – while not popular – is the right action to take at this point. The US is in a hospital capacity crisis. Here’s the CA curve – that’s about as sharply rising upwards as you can get:
