Encouraging signs in France and Spain that the number of new cases is begining to decline – although still at a high level. Fatalities are still rising however, and this may continue until the prior surge has worked through the system.


Italy
Looks like Italy is still peaking – and deaths rising rapidly – and higher per capita than in France or Spain.

US per capita rate of cases has more than doubled since October
At the end of August, the US case rate was 125 per million per day. That figure now is almost 500 new cases per million per day. Fatalities per capita are much lower than those of France or Italy.
