The Dallas Independent School District said on Monday that everyone — students, employees and visitors — must wear a mask while on school property, starting Tuesday.
The mandate, which officials said was temporary, was imposed in defiance of an executive order by Gov. Greg Abbott that prohibits school districts from requiring masks.

Thank goodness we have some officials who override insane and unsafe orders. Back to school is already concerning due to the delta variant so I’m pleased that reasonable people are taking reasonable steps.
We are 18 months into a pandemic and still some leaders think that it’s all behind us. An average of 100,000 new cases per day says otherwise.
